A healthy, balanced lifestyle is not just a trend – It’s what we’re here for, and we know you are, too. We know that a lot of you want to tighten those buns before we hit bikini season (You’re perfect, by the way) – But whatever your reason for hitting the fitness, we’ve dug up some fun facts that can give you that little extra push while you’re sweating it out.
CBD (cannabidiol) and fitness have been a popular topic of discussion in recent years. While research on the specific effects of CBD on exercise is still ongoing, there is growing anecdotal evidence and preliminary studies suggesting many potential benefits. We’ve chosen and outlined 5 of our favourite ways CBD can impact your fitness regime:
1. Pain and Inflammation Relief: CBD has been repeatedly reported to have anti-inflammatory properties, wich is beneficial for athletes and fitness enthusiasts. It could help reduce exercise-induced inflammation, muscle soreness, and joint pain, which in turn speeds up your recovery time.
2. Stress and Anxiety Reduction: Exercise can be physically demanding and sometimes mentally stressful. Studies have shown that CBD has anxiolytic (anti-anxiety) effects, which could help individuals manage exercise-related stress and anxiety. By promoting a sense of calmness, CBD enhances the overall exercise experience. We personally spoke to some of our community members about this, and a number of them recommend CBD Oil before gym or going for a run to help “clear the head & get inside their body”.
3. Sleep Support: Rest and recovery are essential for optimizing fitness gains. CBD has been reported to have a calming effect which helps promote better sleep quality. By improving sleep, CBD may contribute to better recovery and overall athletic performance. We recommend a solid evening meditation to help improve sleep quality even more!
4. Focus and Concentration: Some people claim that CBD enhances focus and concentration. By reducing distractions and promoting mental clarity, CBD might help individuals stay focused during workouts or training sessions.
5. Appetite Regulation: CBD has been associated with appetite regulation. While intense physical activity can increase appetite, CBD may help individuals maintain a balanced approach to eating, potentially supporting weight management goals.
It’s important to note that individual responses to CBD can vary, and more research is needed to fully understand its effects on exercise performance and recovery. Additionally, CBD is not a substitute for proper training, nutrition, and rest. From what we have seen, heard and experienced ourselves, the benefits of CBD just keep surfacing, and we couldn’t be more excited that it is here to stay!
